Chocolate Ice Cream Recipe

This recipe makes chocolate ice cream that is mouthwatering - everyone will love it. You can add chocolate sauce, fruit and bananas for an old-fashioned split. It is easy enough for almost anyone to make this delicious recipe.

In the United States, ice cream made with just cream, sugar, and a flavoring (usually fruit) is sometimes referred to as "Philadelphia style" ice cream. Ice creams made with eggs, usually in the form of custards, are "French" ice creams.

Freezer container


1/4 cup baking cocoa
3/4 cup sugar
1 cup half-and-half cream
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup heavy whipping cream


  • Combine cocoa, sugar, half-and-half and vanilla in blender.
  • Blend on low speed until smooth.
  • Stir in whipping cream.
  • Pour into container for freezing.
  • Freeze 2-3 hours or until frozen.


6 servings or 3/4 quart.
