Peanut Butter Bars

by LaNisa

Ingredients:

1 container of milk chocolate frosting
1 cup butter softened (2 sticks)
2 eggs beaten
2 cups light brown sugar
1 1/2 cup peanut butter
1 tbsp vanilla extract
2 cup all purpose flour (if you use self rising do not add the salt and baking soda)
1/4 tsp salt
1/2 tsp baking soda
3 cups quick cook oatmeal

In large mixing bowl:

Cream butter with peanut butter (with mixer). Beat in sugar, egg, and vanilla (with mixer).
Stir in flour, salt, baking soda, and oats.

Bake at 350 degrees for 25 - 30 min. until edges are nice and brown. You do not want to over cook. They should be nice and moist on the inside and chewy. (Adjust cooking time according to your oven.)

Add chocolate frosting when they are warm not while still HOT.

** I even add a dash of cinnamon in brown sugar when I add it to the mixture - it is up to you!
