American Chocolate Week is celebrated each year during the third week in March, March 14-20, 2011. Sandwiched between two of the ultimate chocolate holidays, Valentine's Day and Easter, American Chocolate Week offers the ultimate decadent sugar buzz. To celebrate the Distinctive Inns of New England, a group of nine inns in Vermont, Massachusetts, Maine, Rhode Island and New Hampshire, will roll out the cocoa carpet with recipes and a customized chocolate treat for one lucky person. Each day from now through March 20, the Distinctive Inns of Rockland will feature a different chocolate recipe from their collections on their blog. Look for everything from chocolate crusted beef to mocha muffins, brownies, truffles, breads and more. What's in store at DINE Inns during American Chocolate Week?
All within a few hours from Boston, the Distinctive Inns of New England will be rolling out the cocoa carpet during American Chocolate Week.
Rabbit Hill Inn, will pay homage to American Chocolate Week at breakfast, tea time and dinner. Starting with breakfast look for homemade baked items including chocolate zucchini read, chocolate tea cakes, oatmeal chocolate chip muffins with streusel topping. Breakfast entrees will delight chocolate lovers with Frangelico Chocolate waffles drizzled with warm Vermont maple syrup and topped with a handmade chocolate hazelnut truffle or perhaps Cinnamon Crepes filled with dark chocolate and ricotta cream, served with grilled bananas and
toasted cashews might be another choice. The afternoon tea table will offer a large daily selection of chocolate delicacies, and then the dessert menu at dinner might include everything from Baklava Fudge Brownie Sundae Greek frozen chocolate yogurt, Ouzo whipped cream, topped with ganache to Chocolate Marquis, a rich chocolate tower, pistachio, caramel, and curry anglaise.
