Need:

Large cup or mug
Measuring spoons

Ingredients:

2 to 3 tablespoons cocoa
2 tablespoons sugar
Dash salt
1 cup milk
1/4 teaspoon vanilla

Directions:

  • Mix cocoa, sugar and salt in large cup or mug.
  • Heat milk in microwave on High 1 1/2 minutes or until hot.
  • Gradually add not milk to cocoa mixture in cup, stirring until well blended.
  • Stir in vanilla.
  • Serve with whipped cream and chocolate shavings, if desired.

Makes:

1 serving.

Variations:

Sugar free hot chocolate.
  • Combine cocoa and salt but omit sugar.
  • Follow recipe above using nonfat milk.
  • Stir in vanilla and sugar substitute equivalent to 2 tablespoons sugar.
