Flourless Chocolate Cake Recipe

This buttery, flourless chocolate cake is perfect for entertaining chocolate lovers and it is so easy to make. This chocolate cake can be enjoyed by those who can’t have gluten. It is delicious served warm with whip cream, ice cream or powdered sugar.

Need:

8 or 9-inch round cake pan or springform pan
Small saucepan to melt chocolate

Ingredients:

2 1/2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
1/2 cup butter, softened
1/8 cup (2 tablespoons) sugar
1/2 cup chopped hazelnuts or walnuts
4 eggs, slightly beaten

Directions:

  • Preheat oven to 350°F/180°C.
  • Prepare pan with nonstick cooking spray.
  • Melt chocolate chips and butter in saucepan over low heat, stirring constantly until smooth.
  • Stir in rest of ingredients until well blended.
  • Pour into pan and spread evenly.
  • Bake 28 to 32 minutes or until edges begin to pull away from pan.
  • Cool completely before removing from pan.
  • Refrigerate at least 1 hour until set.
  • Serve with whipped cream.

Makes:

16 servings

Additional ideas:

Dust baking pan with cocoa powder before adding batter.
