Dunedin Cadbury® Chocolate Carnival
July 11-17, 2010
(When is the next one? If you know, please tell us…either by using our Contact page so we can update the facts or submit information and pictures using Share with Us yourself on the Chocolate Festivals page. Thank you, Gloria, editor for Everyone-loves-chocolate.com)
Held each year, during the second week of the July school holidays, this week long event just gets bigger and better every year.
Celebrating it's tenth year anniversary, the 2010 Dunedin Cadbury Chocolate Carnival will run from Sunday 11 July to Saturday 17 July.
Save the date and write it on your calendar now as you do not want to miss the 2010 Dunedin Cadbury Chocolate Carnival. The 2010 programme promises to deliver an exciting line up of irresistable chocolate events providing entertainment for people of all ages. Be prepared to have fun and celebrate during the week of festivities.
With everything from chocolate theatre to chocolate classes, chocolate decorating, chocolate painting and chocolate facials the public will have the opportunity to participate in a broad range of chocolate themed activities aimed at celebrating winter in Dunedin with Cadbury chocolate.
Once again the famous Cadbury Jaffa Race will be held down the world’s steepest street, Baldwin Street, Dunedin. In 2009 30,000 Cadbury Jaffas were rolled down the street and $90,000 raised for charity. The beneficiaries, Parents Centre NZ Inc and The Malcam Charitable Trust, are thrilled to be part of the week’s biggest chocolate event.
The carnival is set to open on Sunday 11 July with a brand new exciting event held in conjunction with the New Zealand International Science Festival.
There will be loads of entertainment on offer during the week, with exciting addition being added to the current programme during March and April. Keep an eye on this site for updates.
We look forward to seeing you in Dunedin in July 2010!
